The Character Mask: Theatrical Design & Sculpture

Ages: 6+

Description: This course encourages students to explore character and storytelling through sculpture. Using mixed media and papier-mâché, students will design and build their own masquerade, animal, or superhero masks. The curriculum creates a safe space for imaginative play, allowing artists ages 6+ to develop an "alter ego" and learn how art can transform the human face into a new character.

• What They’ll Learn: 3D form and sculpture, papier-mâché techniques, mixed media layering, and character development.

• What They’ll Take Home: Three distinct handmade masks (Masquerade, Animal, and Superhero styles).
